Running a farm and garden brings loads of stuff that once or twice a year need to be set to fire. Since 2019 Portugal changed the law and those who want to make a fire need to ask permission and register with date and contact info (phone number). Ive done it a few times and is not difficult but essential otherwise you get fined! Always stay safe, the front garden has one spot  that I use for setting up a fire, gather it all there, ask permission and the job is done!
